Carmen Abber

Carmen Abber​, before coming to Columbia Law School, worked at Harvard Business School as a technical secretary to Chair Professors:  Thomas McCraw and Richard Vietor, in the Business Government and Competition Area, from 1984-1991.  In November 1991, Carmen began working at Columbia Law School with Professors John Coffee and Alfred Hill.  In 1993–2009, she became the Program Coordinator of the Kernochan Center for Law, Media, and the Arts, assisting Professor John Kernochan.  Previously and since 2006–present, Carmen is the Program Coordinator of the Center on Global Governance. In addition, from 2010–2016, Carmen was the Entry-Level Appointments Committee Coordinator, and from 2009–present, Carmen is faculty assistant to several Columbia Law School faculty members.  Finally, since 2017– present, she is also a member of the Faculty Support Services Team.

Carmen took courses at Northeastern University as well as Harvard University.  She graduated from Columbia University School of General Studies with a B.A. in English.
